Event Description:
This 6 week course is a good class for those who have never thrown clay. Includes 25# of clay ($28 value) and studio access. Class covers studio layout, equipment use, and safety. Learn to wedge and center the clay, how to throw and practice making cylinders for even and straight walls. We will work on body posture, hand positioning and control of clay; forms we will focus on include: cylinders, bowls and cups. Students are encouraged to be creative and have fun! Clay, glaze and firing pieces included. (cup example photo goes with this one)
